The podge is a dark brown colored beer. It’s alcoholic with a very complex pallet. It is ... with a certain aroma of coconut, overripe bananas and cacao. The beer contains an aroma of in alcohol soaked wood, higher spirits, dark ripe fruits and retronasal you can find some bitter chocolate. By the blending and the aging, the Imperial stout evolved into a barley wine. The Podge BI stout Oak aged matured 3 months in oak calvadosbarrels. Every year Alvinne only produces 100 liter. This makes this one of the most exclusive beers in Belgium. You can only get a bottle at the brewery.
